YÙ & MÌ is a bar and restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, Dubai, designed by LW Design Group as an ode to the golden age of 1930s Shanghai — a world of intrigue, glamour and playful contradiction.
What was the brief?
Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah commissioned a venue that transports guests to 1930s Shanghai — from exotic cocktails to nostalgic soundscapes, an atmosphere designed to evoke mystery and leisurely indulgence.

Netsu Bar
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Netsu Bar is a dedicated arrival and bar experience for the Netsu restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, Dubai, created by LW Design Group from the hotel’s former Lobby Lounge and Library. The brief was to build anticipation before the restaurant itself: the bar reads as a destination and a threshold, not as a continuation of the hotel corridor.
Bab Al Shams

Bab Al Shams is the redesign of the region’s longest-running desert resort, 45 minutes from central Dubai, by LW Design Group. Built around the narrative of “The Lost Princess”, the interiors blend contemporary Arabic aesthetics with preserved heritage elements, and the renovation repurposed original furniture, artwork and accessories throughout.
