La Strega

The core concept behind designing La Strega was to create a casual Italian pizzeria that would be appealing not only for the guests staying at Le Royal Meridien but also for local residents. The designers at LW clearly understood that this restaurant would have to be designed in a way that reflected the authenticity of its Italian menu in the ambiance.

In line with the essence of the restaurant, a focal illuminated shelving design was created in the center of the restaurant, that allowed a view into the kitchen. Instead of having the traditional open-kitchen concept, this restaurant offers only a limited sneak-peek into the food preparation area, thereby lending a feeling of sitting in an Italian home. To add to the homely feel, the balcony area is kept covered.
