The Marble House takes its name from the water-polished marble that is used throughout the villa’s interior and as voluminous louvres on the front upper façade. This marble blends blue shades from the ocean, creating a harmony between its contemporary angular form and the untamed sea at its edge. Water plays a significant role, with the swimming pool central to the design and a water channel running through the building, which creates a floating marble deck where the main formal living area is located. The geometry of the villa appears to expand and extend into the landscape, inviting the external to become part of the composition.
